Bible Quizzing is
for children and youth from 10 to 19 years old. 8 and 9 year-old children can
take part as apprentices (Bible-quizzer-in-training) Barry Post has been directing Bible Quizzing for more than 22 years...More than eight of those years as the Mt. Hawley head coach. The Bible Pentathlon has five events: Bible Quizzing, Sword Drill, Scripture Reading, Bible Exam, and Theology of a Book. Mt. Hawley Bible Quizzers consistently place high in the State Championships. Sword Drill, Scripture Reading, and the Bible Exam are individual events and Bible Quizzing and Theology of a Book are team events. Theology of a Book is a Youth event. Mt. Hawley Community Church competes once a month against other church's Quiz Teams in Round Robin matches from October through April.
