children's Ministry
Proverbs 22:6 says to "Train a
child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it."
Here at Mt. Mount Hawley much or our time and resources are dedicated to our
children.
Children's Church
We
have an excellent Children's Church program on Sunday
morning's. We have recently remodeled two of the classrooms
and the
kids love the new "theme" rooms. Construction
and remodeling is ongoing for the entire Children's Church area. The
"stairway" to the right will take you on a pictorial tour of the Kid's
Rooms.
Nursery
Our nursery has just
undergone a new facelift. The walls have been hand painted with beautiful,
colorful, happy cartoon characters. New furniture has been recently
donated. Volunteers are in the nursery every Sunday during Sunday School and
Worship Service. The photo to the right will take you to a
photo slide show of the nursery.
Vacation Bible School
Every summer, Mt. Hawley Community Church
hosts a week-long Vacation Bible School. The kids have play time, make
crafts, sing Bible school songs and each night put on a skit. At the
end of the week the skit is brought to completion during the Sunday
service. The theme for 2005 was Kingdom of the
Son, A Prayer Safari. The kids learned quite a few words in Swahili and
sang several songs with a beautiful African beat.
