STATEMENT OF BELIEF

"I believe the local church is but a part of the universal church.  God has called many into His kingdom and each church is made up of a portion of those believers.  The church provides a place of worship for the saints and a light of hope for the lost.

Within the local church, God gives as He wills, gifts to His people.  It is, therefore, each individual's responsibility to be an instrument of God's use in accordance with his/her gift or gifts.

God has always called certain persons to lead.  Moses, Aaron, David, the Apostles.  Those in leadership should have an un-dying commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and be above reproach in character.  The roles that are fulfilled by the leadership are of utmost importance.  There is much to be accomplished for the Father and the leadership roles are often quite diverse, but all equally important.

As described by scripture, the pastor is to be as a shepherd is to the sheep.  Leading, nurturing, protecting, even seeking the one gone astray."
